Needs Analysis of Metacognitive Strategy Integration in Electronic Module Development to Improve Higher Order Thinking Skills

This study aims to identify and explore metacognitive strategies that can be integrated into electronic modules improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The initial research was conducted on 49 respondents from students majoring in Biology Education. data collection instrument used a test with 5 indicators: 1) Design what 2) elaboration; 3) Identify 4) Implement 5) Troubleshooting. results of the ability show indicators 1 there are 53.06% 40.81% who have abilities. needs analysis as basis for developing by integrating form analogies, mnemonics, discrepant events. is Research Development (R&D), this develops metacognitive-based e-module refers ADDIE model, paper obtained up development stage. validity validator showed score 3.8 very valid category. resulting has potential students' higher-order thinking skills.
